Basic meaning of interest and its importance

Interest means lending money to someone and receiving an additional portion in return. Simply put, it's like taking a loan from a bank. Banks also charge us interest, and we don't consider it wrong. Similarly, people in rural and urban areas who lend their capital to others and receive interest in return do the same.
