The filmmaker who introduced Hrithik Roshan's grandfather to the Hindi film industry said he had betrayed him: "Never deal with celebrities."

The music director quickly became too large for his boots, according to filmmaker Kidar Sharma, who said he found Roshan on a train platform, unemployed after losing his job at All India Radio.

One of Bollywood's most powerful families was exposed to a new generation by the recent Netflix documentary The Roshans. Beginning with the music director Roshan Lal Nagrath, who became well-known in the 1950s and 1960s, the program explored the history of the Roshan family. His sons will carry on his legacy as he passed away at a young age. Hrithik Roshan, who was also heavily featured in the documentary, is currently the most well-liked member of the Roshan family. The director who supposedly introduced Roshan to the movie business remembered their first encounter and the terrible circumstances that led to their breakup years ago.

Director Kidar Sharma claimed in a self-narrated biography posted on Prasar Bharti that one day, after Roshan had been let go from his position at All India Radio, he saw him sitting on a railway platform with his "two wives." When Kidar Sharma asked Roshan why he was seated on the platform, he learned that he was a music director even though he didn't know him. In addition to a job, he gave him housing. Roshan's first Hindi film was Neki Aud Badi. He later collaborated with Kidar Sharma once more on the movie Bawre Nain, which helped him become well-known.

Kidar Sharma claimed that Roshan had grown too big for his boots and that his betrayal had put him in danger of going bankrupt, despite his desire to work with him a third time. Kidar Sharma recalled how he defended Roshan when a few distributors advised him to employ someone else and withdrew their offer when he refused, saying, "He promised me that he would be indebted to me his entire life." After "Bawre Nain" became a hit song, the typical thing happened. He claimed that he wanted to collaborate with others after becoming too big for his boots.
